Abstract submission is now closed for engagethenorth2020.
Abstract submission will again open in late November for the 2021 conference. Below you will find information pertaining to the 2021 conference submission process.
Given the different types of submissions we have decided to review and accept/reject abstracts on a rolling basis. This means reviewers will consider your abstract and provide feedback within two weeks of submission. At which time authors will be contacted.
Please contact us if you fail to receive any communication within four weeks from submitting your abstract regrading the outcome of your proposal/abstract. Please also contact the administrator if you would like additional information about your abstract/propsal/submission or performance.
When all the presentation/performance and paper slots are full the conference abstract submission portal will close, this is likely to be Feb 1st
If you have any questions or queries, or experience problems submitting an abstract please contact the administration team on by e mail firstname.lastname@example.org
Abstract submission can be made in the following categories:
- Paper/multi-media presentations – please provide a 200 word abstract, including title, author(s), affiliation, and type of presentation (traditional paper read, performed, poetic, story, combination, film, multi-media). If you would like to form a panel around a single issue please put together 4 papers to be submitted by the lead author who is required to write a short synopsis of the panel and its aim and include individual details of each paper.
- If you would like your research to be considered for the “in-progress” session, please clearly mark this on your abstract.
- Performances, installations and films – please provide an artist statement, and an 100 word abstract for your work, along with the length, type of work, and contact details of members of the creative team who worked on the project. In the case of multi authored pieces, at least one member of the team (though of course this can be more) should register and attend the conference, commit to a Q&A, and take responsibility for the technical requirements of the performance/instillation.
